We stayed at this awesome place in Magaliesburg, just an hour's drive from Joburg. They offer all these amazing activities like guided bush walks and even a chance to feed elephants. Imagine walking through the reserve with a ranger and experiencing the thrill of being so close to wild animals. It's like we were in the middle of a big game adventure!
The only thing that would have made this trip even better is if there were more options for young people to party and have fun at night. Maybe a cool bar or some evening activities that cater to the younger crowd would have been awesome.

The hotel is so close to jhb and during your stay you would think that you are far away from town in the bush.
They only offer a set Dinner menu and you pay the full price even if you only take only the main meal.

The service and personal attention by management is good. The food was excellent. Great atmosphere.
The vanity kit and shower cap boxes in our room was empty - this does not create a good impression of the cleaning/service staff.

I got amazing value for my money at this lodge. The room was exceptional and the comfortable bed made for a great night's sleep. The location was stunning, with incredible views and a wonderful atmosphere. The staff treated us with utmost care and made us feel truly welcomed.
Hotel breakfast could have been better with a few more dessert options, apart from just chocolate cake with custard.

The oxwagon museum was interesting. The king size bed was very comfortable Bathroom facilities were good. The hotel has a homely ambiance.
The Sunday lunch. Very disappointing, cold and unappetising.

One of the highlights of my stay was the delicious buffet breakfast. The chef was so welcoming and made the best omelette for me, it felt like a personalized meal just for me.

Situated on the Plumari Private Reserve, just a short drive from Johannesburg, the lodge offered a perfect blend of luxury and wildlife. We loved the daily activities, including the bush walks and the incredible experience of interacting with elephants. The lodge's location in the pristine wilderness made for a memorable big game experience in a malaria-free environment. The guided bush walks with the knowledgeable ranger allowed us to explore the diverse terrains of the reserve, creating lasting memories for our family.
My children wanted more interactive activities specifically tailored for their age group.
